A12B6 1. Open the hood and remove the nine (9) push pins holding the grill cover on using a body pry tool. Use a T15H star socket wrench to remove the two (2) bolts holding the hood latch on and remove the hood latch. Remove the grill cover from the truck a set aside for later install. (Figure 1)

2. Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the four (4) bolts holding the top of the grill to the truck. Carefully pull the grill off the truck by disengaging the body clips. (Figure 2)

3. Use a 15mm socket wrench underneath the bumper to remove the four (4) bumper support bracket bolts. (Figure 3)

4. Use an 18mm socket wrench to remove four (4) mounting bolts. (Figure 4)

5. Unplug the four (4) bumper sensor harnesses before remove the bumper from the truck.
6. Use a 7mm socket wrench to remove the lower louvers from the mounting brackets. (Figure 5)

7. Use a 15mm socket wrench to remove the four (4) bolts holding the mounting brackets on. (Figure 6)

8. Use an 18mm socket wrench to remove the two (2) bolts holding the factory tow hooks onto the frame. (Figure 7)

9. Use a 15mm socket wrench to remove the nine (9) bolts holding the bumper structure on. Remove the metal structure from the bumper to access the sensor harness and OEM fog lights. (Figure 8)

10. Unclip all the plugs holding the sensor harness to the bumper using a body pry tool. Carefully remove the sensor from the housing by pushing the housing apart and removing the sensor by pushing up. (Figure 9)

11. Remove the sensor housings from the bumper by pressing the four (4) clips in and pushing it out of the bumper. Make sure to mark what side of the bumper the housing came out of to install into the Fab Fours bumper. (Figure 10)

12. Remove the engine heater plug from the bumper by pressing in on the spring and turning clockwise. (Figure 11)

13. Insert both brackets (22226 & 22227) into the frame rail ends and very loosely install the four (4) shorter OEM bolts into the frame rail end flange and two (2) longer OEM bolts into the frame rail end. just supporting both brackets. (Figure 12)

14. Using the provided four (4) bolt stacks of ¼”-20 yellow zinc hex bolt, flat washers, lock washer, and hex nut, loosely install the factory louver system. (Figure 13) (50250-HW)

15. Using a 15mm socket wrench fully tighten down the four (4) OEM frame end bolts on both brackets (22226 & 22227). (Figure 12)
16. Using both a 18mm socket wrench and 18mm open end wrench, fully tighten down the four (4) OEM long frame bolts on both frame rails (22226 & 22227). (Figure 12)

17. If equipped, install the engine heater plug into the driver side bracket (22226) in a manner opposite of the removal. (Figure 13)

18. If equipped, route and reconnect the engine heater plug wiring harness around the back side of the driver side bracket (22226). (Figure 14)

19. Route and reconnect the two (2) OEM wiring harness plugs from the factory louver system behind the frame rail end of the driver side fame rail end. If equipped, route the engine heater plug wiring behind the fame rail also. Zip tie and secure the wiring bundles as desired. (Figure 15)

20. Using the provided four (4) bolt stacks of 3/8”-16 yellow zinc hex bolt, flat washers, lock washer, and hex nut, loosely install the backer strip (22229) to both brackets (22226 & 22227). (50250-HW) (Figure 16) Note: Cracking the bracket bolts can alleviate any bolt misalignment issues with the backer strip to brackets. Be sure to retighten all bracket hardware if loosened.

21. Center the backer strip with grill and while using a 9/16” socket wrench, fully tighten the outer two bolts followed by the inner two bolts. (Figure 17) Note: A bow will form in backer strip when fully tightened down. This is intended to match the curvature of the grill.

22. Using the provided epoxy, secure all four (4) OEM sensor housings in their appropriate sensor cutout in the bumper (22335). (Figure 18)

23. Using a pair of wire snips, clip off all the push retainers from the factory wiring harness.
24. After the epoxy has cured, fully seat all four (4) sensors into the sensor housings being mindful not to distort the rubber sensor isolator that sits around the sensor tip. Be sure both sides of the sensor housing are fully clipped on the sensor.
25. Route and zip tie the factory wiring harness to the bumper (22335) with the main factory connector being on the passenger wing.

26. Note: if your truck is not equipped with sensors, use the provided 1-1/4” plastic sensor plugs to fill the sensor holes (50250-HW). (Figure 19)

Optional: If you are installing a winch with this bumper installation, do so now. Use the bracket or clamps supplied with the winch to mount the control pack; be sure to install the winch ground strap before installing the winch in the bumper. Once the control pack is installed on the winch, insert the winch into the bumper. The control pack should be facing up with the four front mounting holes facing forward. Insert the winch by first tipping the end with the clutch lever up and inserting the control pack end in the bumper first. Then insert the clutch lever end in the bumper. Use the hardware supplied with the winch to properly mount the winch to the bumper. Follow the instructions supplied with the winch for the proper bolt location. The winch comes with two different length 7/16” bolts, so read the instructions with the winch to ensure the proper locations.
If not installing a winch, a license plate may be installed onto the front face of the bumper. (Hardware not included)

28. With assistance, lift the bumper (22335) up to the brackets (22226 &22227) and secure it loosely using the provided four (4) bolt strips (20296) and eight (8) 1/2”-13, yellow zinc hex nut, flat washers, lock washer. (50250-HW) (Figure 21-22)

29. With assistance of two, lift and center the bumper to the vehicle and using an ¾” open end wrench, fully tighten down the eight (8) ½”-13 nuts securing the bumper (22335) to the brackets. (22226 & 22227)
30. Reconnect the factory wiring harness main connector and both fog lights (if equipped)

M A I N T E N A N C E / C A R E 1. Inspect all parts on the winch, winch mount, and related hardware prior to each use. Replace all hardware that appears rusted or deformed. 2. Inspect all nuts and bolts on the winch, winch mount,, and related hardware prior to each use. Tighten all nuts that appear to be loose. Stripped, fractured, or bent bolts or nuts need to be replaced.
3. Check all cables prior to use. Replace cables that look worn or frayed.
4. Check all moving or rotating parts. Remove debris that may inhibit the part from moving freely.
