HAWSE FAIRLEADS WARN offers two types of hawse fairleads: black cast iron and polished aluminum. The black units are good for use with steel or synthetic, on winches with a 2722 kg (6,000 lb.) pull capacity or greater. The polished- aluminum fairleads are designed to be used with synthetic rope only, and minimize the possibility of fraying.

CARE FOR YOUR SYNTHETIC ROPE Remember to regularly wash your synthetic rope, since dirt and debris can deteriorate the line from the inside out and compromise its integrity. Spool the line out and wash it down with water. You can also fill a pail with water, put the line in, and run it through. Pushing the rope strands together will help free dirt and debris from the fibers. This is also a good time to inspect the rope for damage.
