The strap’s overall length is 8 feet, and this is reduced to 4 feet when used in the common basket configuration.

The strap’s flat shape prevents it from rolling and twisting when attached to tubular shapes. The strap is designed to be as short as possible but still retain the necessary webbing overlap and stitch count for the rated loads.
