Closed System Winching is a technique that uses rigging comprised entirely of closed-link hardware. The result is the most secure and reliable winch rigging available. In Closed System Winching, the traditional hook is upgraded to a patented Factor 55 ProLink®, FlatLink®, or UltraHook® winch line shackle mount. When combined with a shackle, you’ll have an attachment that will contain loads even during momentary slack conditions where winch loads may shift. PROLINK XTV The original closed system winching shackle mount.
The ProLink XTV is a smaller version of our original ProLink shackle mount, and is made specifically for powersports vehicles. Used by search and rescue and military operations worldwide, ProLink XTV is easy to install and allows UTV and ATV winch owners the ability to replace the vehicle’s winch hook with a stronger shackle/D-Ring. The ProLink XTV doesn’t require splicing and is compatible with steel or synthetic ropes up to 5/16” in diameter. The cable eye is retained in the ProLink XTV by an ultra-strong aerospace-grade 7/16” diameter titanium double- shear pin and internal snap ring, and is easily installed in minutes. The EPDM rubber guards protects alloy fairleads and is securely attached to the ProLink XTV with four barbed tips and prevents rattling. FLATLINK XTV Closed system winching with a folding, low-profile design for better approach angles.
The FlatLink XTV allows UTV and ATV winch owners to replace the conventional winch hook with a stronger shackle/D-Ring. Flatlink XTV folds neatly into the fairlead when not in use, and allows for a better approach angle than ProLink XTV. Utilized by search and rescue and militaries across the globe, the FlatLink XTV doesn’t require splicing and is compatible with steel or synthetic ropes up to 5/16” diameter. It attaches with a super- strong aerospace-grade double-shear titanium pin and snap ring, which is easily installed in minutes. Originally developed to meet the needs of off-road racers who wanted the speed of a hook and functionality of closed system winching, the low-profile UltraHook XTV features an industry-first closed system shackle mount hole machined into the body of the hook, and installs in minutes. RRP XTV (ROPE RETENTION PULLEY) Revolutionary friction pulley is a game changer for the powersports world A lightweight and compact alternative to traditional heavy snatch blocks/pulleys, the RRP XTV can be used to increase pulling power or redirect the winch line. The RRP XTV is for use with synthetic rope only and is to be used in conjunction with a soft shackle. During momentary slack, the rope retention rubber fingers prevent the winch rope from escaping the pulley groove. The oversized hole radius provides a smooth surface and keeps the soft shackle from rubbing on the edges of the RRP XTV. The friction surface has been treated with Teflon to increase slickness and heat dissipation.

The Shorty Straps are designed to serve as a versatile short soft link to attach to vehicles and are constructed of an ultra-low stretch (low energy storage) polyester. Applications include attaching to vehicles without recovery points, to using your winch and Shorty Strap to field repair/straighten bent steering components. The strap’s flat shape prevents it from rolling and twisting when attached to tubular shapes. The strap is designed to be as short as possible but still retain the necessary webbing overlap and stitch count for the rated loads. The Shorty Strap’s overall length is 3’ making it easy to store and simpler to use than a long strap, and this short length is reduced to only 1.5’ long when used in the common basket configuration. • Great for attaching to vehicles that are not equipped with recovery points, to field repairs, such as straightening bent steering components, such as tie rods • Flat shape prohibits twisting or rolling, even when attached to tubular surfaces • Designed to be as short as possible but still retain the necessary webbing overlap and stitch count necessary for the rated loads • Durable Cordura abrasion guard reinforces eyes and seams • Overall length is just 3’, and this is reduced to 1.5’ when using in the basket configuration • Available in 2” and 3” widths. Extreme Duty Soft Shackles are constructed of HMPE Plasma rope with additional abrasion and UV protection thanks to a woven polyester jacket that’s whipped and coated with Fiber Lock. The protective jacket is attached close to the knot, providing as much abrasion protection as possible. Factor 55’s 5/8” x 20” Extreme Duty Kinetic Energy Rope is for non-winch recovery. To use, rig it to the stuck vehicle, then rig to a recovery vehicle. As the recovery vehicle begins moving, it transfers kinetic energy through the rope creating a slingshot effect, yanking the stuck vehicle out. This is great for use in sand, snow, or mud extractions. Coated with a flexible, durable, weather-resistant polymeric coating. The rubberized rope eyes further increase durability at the rope’s wear points. Rated at 14,800 lb. MBS, this product is designed for use on increasingly popular UTV/ATV machines. XTV HAWSE FAIRLEADS Extend the life of your synthetic rope using the best fairleads on the powersports market. Factor 55’s XTV Hawse Fairleads are exceptionally durable and help extend the life of your synthetic rope. They’re CNC machined from 1”-thick USA 6000 series aluminum bar—twice as thick as the industry standard. The extra-thick aluminum bar design gives a larger radius for synthetic rope to slide against, which means less wear and tear on the rope resulting in a longer service life. These fairleads wear a super-durable MIL-A- 8625F TYPE III gunmetal gray hard-anodized finish with a laser engraved logo. This finish is, hands down, the best choice for a hawse fairlead. The finish leaves a .002”-thick Al2O3 ceramic coating that is in the top-five hardest materials known to mankind (not far away from diamond hardness). Available in common 4.875” and 6” mounting bolt spacing.

Turns any 2” receiver into a recovery point. Made from lightweight, super-strong CNC-machined 6000 series aluminum, the HitchLink 2.0 and HitchLink Pro 2.0 let you utilize your UTV’s 2-inch receiver as a recovery/tow point. Simply slide this shackle mount into the receiver’s opening and secure with a hitch pin (not included). Both versions will accommodate common 3/4” screw pin shackles as well as soft shackles up to 1/2”. HitchLink Pro 2.0 takes this concept to another level by having a larger radiused hole that’s more forgiving to soft shackles, thus extending their service life. HitchLink Pro 2.0 is also cross-drilled, meaning the product can be used in any 90-degree orientation in the receiver.
